Engineered exclusively for the SOHC and DOHC Ford 6 cyl engine, our Empire Elite Barra lifters are the definitive anti pump-up hydraulic lifters available. These lifters are precision-manufactured to operate seamlessly at high RPMs and effectively manage higher oil volumes resulting from increased RPM. With specially designed metering circuits and bypass valving, Empire Elite lifters allow excess oil to bypass the main lifter reservoir once it reaches its maximum capacity, effectively mitigating the effects of lifter pump up. Our rigorous testing has proven that DOHC engines can exceed 8100 RPM without experiencing any lifter pump-up problems.
